On Thanksgiving weekend, RTO/ERO sponsored ‘at risk’ kids involved in art education to see internationally acclaimed Shen Yun Performing Arts in Toronto.
Four children and their families attended the show and thanked RTO/ERO for the opportunity.
20% of every ticket bought by an RTO-ERO member, staff, family and friends went to buy tickets for the students participating in DAREarts (www.darearts.com, a Canadian organization that fosters arts education for youth in difficult socioeconomic conditions.
RTO/ERO staff in attendance Friday night had the chance enjoy the show and to meet the students.

Based in New York, Shen Yun, www.shenyunperformingarts.com, seeks to revive cultural artistry rooted in traditional values of beauty and goodness. With performances of Chinese classical dance, colourful costumes, breathtaking backdrops and a live orchestra that combines Eastern and Western instruments, Shen Yun has toured in over 100 cities around the world, and has received greetings from such dignitaries as Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Governor General Michaëlle Jean.
